- · 40% involved allegations of child sex trafficking
- · 350 incidents involved allegations of labor trafficking
- · 30% confirmed to be human trafficking
- · 38% confirmed not to be human trafficking
- · Remaining 32% cases are still open
- · 98% of sex trafficking cases were investigated by law enforcement agencies
- · 82% of labor trafficking cases investigated by multiple collaborating agencies
- · 49% of sex trafficking cases were investigated by multiple collaborating agencies
- · 29% of labor trafficking investigations were led by federal agencies
- · 7% of sex trafficking investigations were led by federal agencies
The Victims
- · 527 confirmed human trafficking victims
- · 87 victims were foreign
- · 94% of sex trafficking victims were female
- · 68% of labor trafficking victims were female
- · 13% of sex trafficking victims were 25 or older
- · 62% of labor trafficking victims were 25 or older
- · 83% of sex trafficking victims were U.S. citizens
- · 26% of sex trafficking victims were white
- · 40% of sex trafficking victims were black
- · 63% of labor trafficking victims were Hispanic
- · 17% of labor trafficking victims were Asian
The Traffickers
- · 488 confirmed suspects
- · 144 arrests
- · 81% of confirmed suspects were male
